Social OS

Social OS aims to create a distributed social network that respects privacy and allows users the full freedom to make friends online, share content including pictures and video, all without relying on anyone else. Social is built on top of a powerful, open source content management system. Social OS is a community effort and we encourage participation from everyone.

PPL

PPL or Profile Privacy License is a license for your profile information. PPL forces anyone using information licensed under it to give all the profile information about a user back to him or her. PPL has terms governing the use of the information, as well distribution of any profile information. PPL also has a number of provisions about protecting user's privacy and helping maintain accuracy of any information that is out there. PPL is a part of the Social OS specifications for exchanging information. This project mainly focuses on defining, refining, accrediting, and publishing a final license that can be used by people on the internet to protect their privacy.
